How to install Virtual Box Additions in Ubuntu/Kubuntu

In terminal/konsole use the command uname -r to find out which kernel version you have.

Install GNU Compiler and header files (substitute it with KERNELVERSION in the command below)

# sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-KERNELVERSION3.

Now mount the VirtualBoxAdditions cd/iso from the virtualbox GUI.

Run the Virtualbox installer with the command below.

# sudo sh /media/cdrom/VBoxLinuxAdditions.run all

Restart the virtual machine and that should have installed the Virtual Box Additions.
