Accessing MySQL using SSH

The steps for accessing your MySQL database may vary.

To Access MySQL Using SSH with Parallels Plesk Panel Installed:

Log into the server as root or as a user then using:

~# su- [you will need the root password]

Then you run this command in the command line:

~# mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`

To Access MySQL Using SSH without Parallels Plesk Panel Installed:

Log into the server as root or as a user then using:

~# su – [you will need the root password]

Then you run this command in the command line:

~# mysql -uroot -p

Enter your password or default is nothing.
