Upgrade Linux Mint from 17.2 to 17.3

First of all, the system needs to be put in the current state with the following commands:

~# apt update

~# apt upgrade

After all the updates, restart the computer:

~# sudo reboot

Update the distribution code you want to change the name of the official repositories for rosa with the following commands:

~# sudo sed -i ‘s/rafaela/rosa/’ /etc/apt/sources.list

~# sudo sed -i ‘s/rafaela/rosa/’ /etc/apt/sources.list.d/official-package-repositories.list

These commands will update the system files and will do the distribution upgrade:

~# apt update

~# apt upgrade

~# apt dist-upgrade

After all the updates, restart the computer:

~# sudo reboot

Done!

Rolling back to Linux Mint 17.2Rafaela

If the upgrade process was not normal or something goes wrong in the system, run the following commands to undo the changes:

~# sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/official-package-repositories.list

~# sudo mv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/official-package-repositories.list.bak /etc/apt/sources.list.d/official-package-repositories.list

~# sudo apt-get update

~# sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Then restart the computer.
